BRIAN DOERKSEN RETURNS TO THE NETHERLANDS WITH WORSHIP CONCERTS AND NEW WORK

It’s easy to lose count of how many times Brian Doerksen has visited the Netherlands. Yet, the last time was already five years ago. In the meantime, the Canadian worship leader has certainly not been idle. Not only did he write beautiful new worship songs, but he also recorded an album full of love songs for his wife. Everything shows that the veteran, who became known through Vineyard music, is far from finished! No wonder that no fewer than three concerts are scheduled in the Netherlands in 2026. Brian Doerksen will return with his band for an evening full of inspiring worship, relatable stories, and a musical celebration centered on love.

Perhaps it is Brian Doerksen’s calm demeanor that has made him such a quick live favorite in our country. His songs certainly paved the way for him. From The River (De Rivier), Refiner’s Fire (Maak Mij Rein Voor U), and Faithful One (God Van Trouw) to Come Now Is The Time (Kom Nu Is De Tijd) and Today (Ik Kies Vandaag); all of them are still sung in churches worldwide – and especially in the Netherlands since they were all included in the Opwekkingsliederen collection. Brian’s heart for Europe brought him to the continent many years ago. He was involved with Vineyard UK and visited the Netherlands regularly, partly because he saw a deep, historic spiritual well being reopened. Later, he often returned with his group The Shiyr Poets. The welcome has always been warm. An evening with Brian Doerksen means worship rooted in solid theology, compelling and inspiring.

And in recent years, even more inspiration has come! For example, Brian recorded the album Love For A Lifetime; a series of songs for his wife, with whom he has been married for more than 40 years. For Doerksen, such songs are not just love songs; they are expressions of gratitude for the blessing God gives to relationships.

Brian Doerksen has long looked forward to leading worship in the Netherlands again. In June 2026, it will finally happen. Make sure you are there!
